Well over a month ago I was traveling through the Chilbo area on Jeogeot with a friend. We came across three parcels owned by Rah Rehula.

The first parcel, closest to the road in the direction we were traveling was The Happy Hat.

“See Rah’s latest hats! Kick back and enjoy…There are often changes to the sound, the scenery and the inventory to suit Rah’s mood ;-)”

I went inside the Hideki Forest Cabin, a build I really like, and found welcoming spaces plus Rah’s art.

I’ve very recently returned to make sure these parcels still exist, and noticed the differing windlights which aren’t evident in these photos.

Close to The Happy Hat is Movie Time. “A flick place.”

It has the amenities for watching media.

I was impressed with the variety of the animal kingdom on the properties.

There are rabbits, pygmy goats, and an animated great horned owl among other creatures.

This parcel is called The Home of Imagination. The shared environment light is lovely, and quite different than what is shown here.  When I took these photos around the end of April, I thought this light lovely.

“The Storyteller Manor became Rah’s home quite some time ago. Please enjoy time spent here. Relax. Meditate. Read. Write. Snap some photos. You may find some crazy stuff…”

I poked around in every nook and cranny and believe I didn’t miss anything.

I didn’t stay as long as that reader though.

The open air cafe is in a park setting and rated Moderate.

“Welcome! Seeking friendly people? Like to chat? We want to meet you. Stop in! Join YellowDots group: Rez objects, set home to here. Sandbox, Changing Rooms, Hobo, Lonely, Friends, Coffee, Tea, Old, News, Art, Help, Returning, New, Date, Games”

The Cafe owner, Ann Forbes is currently working on the website, and also finds time to keep up to date with available tours, discussions and events.

There’s space for art exhibits on the fence. Currently there are pieces by Fau Ferdinand shown.

Pods travel by the area, and there are bike rezzers withing a short walking distance up the road at Jonson Springs in Ezquerra.

Wanderlust Art Truck 2018 has been invited for a summer residency at Placebo Holdings in Jormungandr, Jeogeot.

The Truck was very active in 2017, involving travel, parties and documentation. There are about 14 videos on my vimeo channel, including some travelling films. This year, Second Life is very different, as indeed Real Life is.

It brought a smile to my face when Seraphim Placebo invited us to set up the Truck once again. A call for art donations was sent out.

My colleague, Klaus Bereznyak, and I obtained the use of a crane to life the truck and the container packed with art into the lovely park setting.

There are interesting pieces that were donated, plus some pieces from our private collections. There’s no theme, in keeping with the spirit of Art Truck; it’s about creativity, fun and community.

A soft opening was held on Sunday, July 15. Seraphim wasn’t unable to attend; Tee and s4nura, two Gynoids, represented her and greeted visitors.

Art by Elle Thorkveld and Wheedle.

From left to right, a 3D piece I created; propped up against the Truck door is art by Klaus. Shown inside the container: art by Veyot, serra Qendra and Beatrix.

Upper left corner is a 2D piece by Amy Inawe; the crystal lamp is by Isadora Alaya. Against the hedge, art by Nino Vichan.

By Lil Mint.

The public is welcome to wander the grounds beyond the Art Truck area.

When you wander out and across the road, you’ll find PlaceboLand, a wonderful space to explore.  And down the road is New Placebo Gallery, with photos by Seraphim focused on Gynoids.

Above is a view in the Fantasy Garden.

I’ve just learned that Seraphim Placebo is also hosting a portrait photograph competition. The portraits must be taken in one of three areas. All entries will be hung on the wall in the “old garden” and the winners will be hung in her gallery.  First prize – L$ 2000; Second prize L$ 1000, Third prize L$ 500.

There are teleporters and big pink arrows to aid you in finding your way around after wandering from the Art Truck landing area, where the contest poster with instructions is located.

I will link to Seri’s blog post about the contest when it is available.

Jeogeot, Route 10

After leaving the lovely roadside park in Pak, walking a few meters forward you arrive in Seopophang. There’s a rez zone. An avatar was sitting there when I walked by, perhaps waiting for a pod.

Then you pass through Taesot. There are palm trees added to the mix of trees, flowers and bushes along the road.

The next sims are Gwail, Ge, Saengseon and then Yeot.

Then we arrive at the end of Route 10, Route 9/Route 10 Rez Zone, Yeot.

The infrastructure photos were taken in early October, 2017.  I plan on choosing a new route on a new continent soon.

Chilbo, Jeogeot, Route 10

Leaving the bus shelter in Hetae, I continued on to Yongma, where there’s a guard rail on the right side of the road. At the crossing to Cheonma, there’s a rez zone.

Immediately after the rez zone, the road mysteriously changes to Route 9 until arrival in Nha Na near this speed camera, then it becomes Route 10 again. There is only sharp-edged shoulder terrain by the Linden Department of Public Works through Sunwi Do, Achado and Mangyeoung.

The paving changes in Mangyeoung near Chilbo, an historical community that can be researched online. Info is also available at the Town Hall. Moving on into the Chilbo sim, there is much for visitors to see, except for the presence of other avatars, in my experience. The area is Zone 6 North/Center part of Chilbo sim.

The road continues through Kuwoi, Mindulie and Podul.  There’s a few meters of rez zone road in Sonamu and immediately you’re in Changmi where the paving abruptly changes back to blacktop.

There’s guard rails up in through most of Changmi.

Soon after entering Jinsan, the road paving changes again; immediately you enter Cheju.

At last! There’s a large rez zone for vehicles in Cheju. Most of the rest area is by Garden Mole. You can pick up copies of summer maples by Ignaeous Mole with various prim counts. Pods stop here too.

Route 10 continues through Tangna and Doi.

The road paving changes again in Baekdu. The road name changes to Route 10 – intersection with the shortcut, Baekdu.

The view above is looking back to the direction I was travelling from. Vehicles can be rezzed here at Nangrim Rez Zone intersection. Pods stop here too.

Route 10 continues through Silla and Chima.

Above shows another rez zone in Iseul.  (There’s Fireside Karaoke, open mic 24/7 just behind it as of this posting in early October 2017.)

From Iseul, the road continues through Gangwon and then Pak, shown below.

The road is in Pak but stepping off to the right, you’ll find you’re in Seopophang. And here is where the bulk of the landscaping budget for this road appears to been invested. There are trees, flowers, bushes, benches and a working campfire. There’s even an Ancient Donut by Silent Mole.

This seemed like an excellent place to pause and rest.

Route 10 ~ Lill Burn Valley to Haetae

Hetae, Jeogeot, Lill Burn Valley, mainland, Route 10, Second Life, secondlife

Continuing over the bridge, where I stopped in Lill Burn Valley on Route 10 in Jeogeot, which I posted about here, I noticed the striping on the paving changed to indicate where it is, and is not, safe to pass as the road goes through rolling hills.

The photo above was taken in Katipo.

The next sims are, very briefly, Wetas, then Craggen Maw for a longer stretch of road, Busby and then Brouwer where photos number 2, 3 and 4 were taken.

This bridge is by Mighty Mole of Linden Department of Public Works. The steps lead to a border of banlined land and land that was abandoned a month ago. These photos were taken September 19, 2017.

Above, also in Brouwer, shows guard rails by the side of the road going briefly into Moa. Then the terrain is flatter through Mouse Point, which is very sparsely built on at this time.

Otaki Gorge and then Bandicoot are populated with many shops on the ground, close to the road. There are what appear to be parks and private parcels as well, some things towering into the sky, lots of foliage and ambient nature sounds. From what I recall of travels during past years, there’s been a lot going on here for some time.

In Numbat there appears to be much more open land.  Further on, still in Numbat and then Drews, there’s a guard rail on the left side of the road. In Drews, residents have constructed retaining walls in the valley.

Next in Oolamoo, guard rails are on both sides of the road and then there’s another bridge.

Still not any water except far in the distance.

The bridge is the same style as one I’ve recently shown on Route 10.

The road is fairly straight through flat land in Arang.

We rest again at this bus shelter by Michael Linden in Hetae. (“bus fares are very low”)

There have been at least two bus shelters rezzed by residents that I’ve noticed on this Route 10 journey so far.

Hopefully we’ll pick up the journey looking at virtual mainland infrastructure next week again.

Jeogeot, mainland, Route 10, Second Life, secondlife, Yavascript Pod

Beginning where I last stopped on Route 10, Jeogeot which I blogged here, I crossed this bridge which was not nearly as long as I expected. I approached the bridge in Silvercreek and walked off it in Aberhart.

There are some very noisy gulls around the bridge which weren’t nearly as challenging as the security orbs while I was snapping photos.

Not much further on is this small bridge over a dry gully in Cambrian.

Trees and shrubs are very sparse along this stretch of road. There is Linden foliage mixed with resident purchased trees and shrubs a little ways off the road shoulder.  I didn’t investigate as the first bridge took much longer to photograph than I anticipated.

In Sien Lok I saw a bench by Garden Mole. The description promises (naughty poses!).

On the other side of the road, close by is a guard rail.

In Dalhousie the road paving changes.

I continued on through Crowfoot and arrived at the Route 9/10 Intersection Rez Zone in Quenloo.  There was an avatar standing by the side of the road, perhaps waiting for a passing POD.

There are trees, bushes and flowers near the intersection. The crossing beacons are by Garden Mole. The large tree is an 11 Li sculpt also by Garden Mole. These trees are constantly moving which is very noticeable  from quite a distance away.

Across the intersection, continuing Route 10 in Deltide, the paving changes again.

There’s another rez zone in Hangflame Ridge. Next, in Quiet Mile, the name of the road changes to Protected Land, Quiet Mile, then back to Route 10 in Blue Hound.

Route 10 continues through Badly Moor, Trumbull, Auriga, Wollendilly and Lill Burn Valley. (I especially like the names Badly Moor and Wollendilly.)

What stood out for me on this stretch or road was the very sharp edged terrain on the shoulder. This photo was snapped at the rez zone in Trumbull.

I ended this part of my journey in Lill Burn Valley at a bridge by Mighty Mole.  It’s possible that by riding a POD through the area you might learn info and history in local text that is offered on many POD tours.

These photos were taken on September 12, 2017.

Jeogeot, Route 10, Second Life, secondlife

Shown above is a rez zone at Route 10, Falkor. It meets Route 9 here on the continent of Jeogeot.

Very soon one arrives at Route 10 Bridge in Ninereeds.

Linden Road and Waterfront, Ninereeds. The public part of the waterway in this view seemed narrow.

Moving on, the road goes through Fymatigue and Fyre Maven.

There is a small bridge in Fyre Maven. I have kept my draw distance down and focused on the infrastructure for these photos. There are quite a few buildings in this area.

This is the road paving and ground texture for the sims covered in this post. You can see the speed bumps in the road. These photos were taken 9 – 9 – 17 and I repeatedly sunk down into the paving as I was walking. The photo above was taken in Black Drake.

Route 10 continues from Black Drake through Chapala, Applewood, Lynnwood, Pinemont, Grimm, Glenmore, Templegreen and Taravista.

The photo above was taken in Martindale. Further on is Oakfield, Cedarbrae and Flint.

There’s an underwater tunnel in Flint.

Fortunately it isn’t very long because it’s closed in.

When I exited the tunnel in Silvercreek, I flew up, turned around and snapped the photo above.  I continued on until I came to a large bridge, still in Silvercreek.

The trip continues here.

vp-1At Grey Corner in Jeogeot, just off the road, Vertepad Plains. From the land description: “Welcome to Veretpad Plains. You are most welcome to explore. Only request, if spoken to, please reply even a hello and goodbye is good.”vb-2

The land is one of at least two sims in the area called Vertepad Plains. The other, across the road and to the left a little ways, is an adobe build with a Spanish flag and the name “Vertepad Plains, dee’s corner”. (There are also other sims with banlines in the area.) vb-5The walled garden is a peaceful spot.vb-7There are free bows on offer in a nearby building.vb-8I found I’d need a group tag to actually rez an arrow from it.vb-9There are a couple of sculptures in the back, this one a fractal.vb-10

The other is nearby.

There’s also a zen garden near the house, which is private.

Grumps' Kitchen, Jeogeot, mainland

grumps 1A friend gave me the landmark to this tea and coffee shop in Kiuek, on the continent of Jeogeot. It’s near the road in an area with a lot of development during the last few months. She happened to meet the builder and owner and recommended I see it as soon as possible.grumps 2Grumps’ Kitchen takes it’s inspiration from a real life tea shop in England called The Mews Cafe. I was given a link to a Drop Box with 33 photos of it. The builder of the virtual Grumps’ is intending to get the keys to The Mews in a few months. That’s wonderful but will likely be the demise of this virtual place. grumps 3There’s outdoor seating in the back. The parcel is an odd shape and I see that the avatar, Gurney Bracken, has done a great job of placing the tea shop on it.   grumps 4The art on the wall is cartooned photos of kids and grandkids. grumps 5I was pleased to visit, especially since I’ve been barely keeping up with some places before they’re gone lately. This sort of purpose, building the virtual place of a real life project, is one of the things I like about Second Life.grumps 7The coffee machine works. I got a mocha.grumps 8The view out the front windows isn’t too bad. I saw a couple of pods go by while I was there. The dangerous vehicles of AnneMarie O’Toole haven’t been seen lately. grumps 9Shhh….don’t tell anyone I let the dog in the kitchen.
