SL12B

wednesday_002I surely don’t want to miss all of SL12B and am enjoying as much of it as I can. One of my favorite exhibits is 10 Truths by Livio Korobase. I seem to recall really liking his exhibit last year too. wednesday_005Like last year I’ve come across information that I want to look into further although I have no idea how I’ll find time to do so.

For the next twelve weeks or so I’ll be taking next steps to heal my health issues which I’m hopeful and cautiously excited about. The meal plans are labor intensive and how I’ll respond is an unknown. I’m having a bit of a histamine response this week.wednesday_006This last round of LEA is coming to a close. For the past five months I’ve been intensely involved with LEA’s Medici University, having a studio there and participating in drawing, virtual tai chi, photography, writing, machinima, some prim building, virtual road trips and collaborating/hanging out with others. I’ve met a lot of fascinating people, some of whom I hope to remain friends with. I created a separate blog for the experience which has 166 posts at this point!wednesday_007So I really need a break. I’m not sure I’ll be content to blog quite the same as I have been. When I began I wasn’t able to find many of the kind of blogs I wanted to read, but there are more of them out there now. I like reading them and then simply enjoying my time in world.wednesday_008I teleported in to Fuschia Nightfire’s SL12B exhibit and almost landed on her.captivate_008The above photo includes Bryn Oh. We were both enjoying the rain at the Asphyxiation Point exhibit. I looked at the role play information and it sounds really good. But virtual role play has been heartbreaking for me so I think I’ll stick to more personal creativity.

See you in September.

art gallery_001During my mainland travels I came across this pleasant little gallery in a breezy spot in Falkor. Roadside Xirana’s Art Gallery has two floors of art in various mediums. There are two kiosks with information about the artist as well as website and contact information. art gallery_002Some of the different mediums are oil, watercolor, acrylic, ink, charcoal and pastel. The pieces can be purchased and most are available in RL.art gallery_003You may have heard of the artist’s Portraits For Peace.  A WordPress blog is here.art gallery_004The informational notecard also gives a landmark to Xirana’s Art Studio, shown above, where everyone is welcome.  There’s a gift of a 1 LI art cushion available.art gallery_005After checking the studio out I went back to the gallery, had watermelon and worked on this post.

MUGA

The opening of Generative, Glitch and Gifs is scheduled for 7 p.m. SLT on Friday, June 5 at Medici University Gallery of Art. The show will feature the works of Elle Thorkveld, FeelsEmpty, OfficialMichaelGreen and Pearl Grey (moi).

Much of the work is up now if you want to take a peek. The shows have been changing about once a week since the gallery has been up and you’re welcome to check back often. Medici University is located at LEA 23.

You’re welcome to stroll around the rest of the campus as well. Or ride the “Neko Rail” shuttle.  There’s been a lot of collaboration and creativity happening here the last few months. Photography, drawing, creative writing, machinima, 3D sculptures and builds, performance art, field trips, philosophy discussions, events and the sharing of knowledge, techniques and fun. The individual studios and installations are ever changing.

You can read more about Medici University on the website.K and C 2One of my pieces of Glitch Art with minimal alteration.

edit:

Thanks to everyone who attended the opening. It was fun. The show runs through June 19th.gg and g 4
