I log into Island Oasis virtual world at least briefly almost every day, mostly to make sure my rental box is updated and that all is well. None of my neighbors have been around while I’m on but changes happen while I’m not there.
The empty high prim houses are gone and other residents have taken up some of the islands. Across from my front door someone is creating an original build. I spend most of my time in this world at home and it’s very relaxing. Yesterday afternoon I went motorcycle riding at the Speedway and Airfield and ended up laughing and my avatar looked like this:

I’m enjoying your posts about Island Oasis. I’m not sure I’m ready to try other grids yet, but it is nice to know there are places to go if the Lab really drops the ball on SL.
Thanks! Yes it is nice to know, which is why I’m maintaining a minimal presence there. It’s obviously crude looking compared to SL, but this sudden firing of Oskar Linden doesn’t sound good at all.
If you had a spare half hour or so, you could get your island and throw a house down on it and then simply log in at least once a week to renew your rental. I’d be willing to go along with you or anyone else who wants to do that.
If the Lab goes into a tailspin, more of the really creative types might showup in the other virtual realities. As it is now, there’s no guarantee these others will hang in there.
