There are about three more days to visit Fantasy Faire 2017. I haven’t got much further than Opal Flight, the Arts and Entertainment sim by Haveit Neox and Lilia Artis. Two friends and I spent a magical time exploring it and postponing our other plans. Here are eleven photos of the build.

It’s enjoyable seeing the fantasy avatars every year.

Fantasy Faire is open through Sunday, April 30th. For more information, see the official blog.

the abyss_007Just a few days left of Fantasy Faire 2015. I enjoyed my visit to Poseidon’t Abyss by Haveit Neox. There’s much to see, both above and below the water.the abyss_001the abyss_009There are small, roped, slatted bridges under water and also stepping stones in other places so you can efficiently tour and see which areas you might wish to linger in.the abyss_015The views are great from all angles. the abyss_017the abyss_012The above photo shows the area where you can walk down into the water so as to gradually acclimate your avatar to the water pressure and temperature.

A gorgeous build not to be missed.

Fantasy Faire, Ravenshold

ravenshold 5One of my favorite experiences of Fantasy Faire this year so far was visiting Ravenshold ~ The Lost Land Hunt. I didn’t participate; instead I tromped around in civilian clothes snapping these pictures.ravenshold 1From the land description: “Running April 23 – May 3 in conjunction with the 2015 Fantasy Faire. Written by Saffia Widdershins. Sim Design by Rynn Verwood. Scripting by Encaitaron Korobase. Produced and directed by Aisling Sinclair.”ravenshold 2It was difficult for me to find information about this hunt; I was likely looking in the wrong place. Here’s a post about it on the Seraphim blog.ravenshold 3It mentions a Hud with an optional costume purchase. I would guess some attracted to this might already have a costume. While I was there, no one else was dressed out of character.ravenshold 6Besides shopping and looking at amazing creations, the Faire has many scheduled events and activities.ravenshold 4So much to do and so little time.

Fantasy Faire, The Palace of Tears

palace of tears_01

I’ve been enjoying blog photos of Fantasy Faire, especially Sanctum and Palace of Tears. I’ve taken lots of photos too and for this post I’d like to show some of Haveit Neox’s art installation. I did well enough staying out of the way of the hunters. The hunt was written by David Abbot and I’m sure it’s fun. There were some fascinating looking avatars around when I was snapping pics and they sure seemed to be enjoying themselves.

I might have had lag and crashing but I honestly don’t remember now. I have lots of raw photos which I’ll play with some day when I don’t want to do something else.

palace of tears_04

All of the Fantasy Faire sims are worth a visit and I could tell lots of heart was put into creating them. I climbed high above Hope’s Horizon (by Jaimy Hancroft) to the small courtyard. I also found the mermaid lagoon in Wiggenstead Mooring (by Kayle Matzerath).

The Palace of Tears was designed and built by Rynn Verwood and is a gorgeous place for photography.

palace of tears_06I liked the inside of the palace too. Some of the rooms are bare and I was mentally putting decor in.

There are so many things I want to do and I’m glad when I somehow make time to visit these places that here for a short period of time only.

Fairelands Junction, Fantasy Faire

Fairelands Junction_011

Here’s a photo I took at Fairelands Junction after flying into the air to get unstuck from some hole I stumbled into. This region is sponsored by Sanctuary RP Community and created by Saiyge Lotus.

Fairelands Junction_008The region light setting looked good and so did the portals from a distance but I didn’t check them out on this visit.

Instead I wandered the paths looking at details.

I especially liked the wall of candles and spent some time trying to get a photo that would do it justice. I was having gray stuff on my viewer and had reached my limit for fussing with something.
